CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Oxford Chamber of Commerce was started in 1935, by a number
of business men dedicated to the betterment of the community.

The Preamble from the by-laws, dated April 2, 1935, read as such:
“In order to further and extend the business welfare, to promote
the prosperity of the community, to create a wider interest in
municipal affairs, to maintain favorable publicity, to encourage
the extension of marketing facilities, to boost for good roads,
and to provide a medium for the co-operation of industry, the
OXFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is hereby founded.”

Using the motto “We’re in it for everybody”, the Oxford Chamber of Commerce has re-organized for the coming year.  The new board members are eager to show off our town, and to welcome new businesses and industry to the village.
